Vaughns started all games during Paul Hewitt’s first season at Mason but was limited to around 15 minutes per game and two DNPs this season off the bench. It was obvious early on Hewitt favored freshman Patrick Holloway over him despite his lack of experience.
Vaughns best season was in 2010-2011 when he was an intergal part of the Patriots’ huge 16-game winning streak. His three-point shooting off the bench helped drive the team’s efficient and balanced offense that helped get them into the NCAA tournament.
Vertrail Vaughns 6’2 combo will be transferring from George Mason and will be eligible to play his 5th year right away.
