Sophomore Troy Temara is apparently leaving the program and will transfer to Palm Beach State, a JUCO school in Florida:

The timing is definitely weird considering classes start in just a few weeks and typically decisions to transfer usually come before the summer starts. Judging from the team’s twitter, it also seems like this is a recent development.
The teams lacks depth in the front court heading into 2017-18 but have redshirt freshman AJ Wilson available now and recruited Greg Calixte in the spring. Temara struggled to get time on the court last season and Dave Paulsen seemed to go with Daniel Relvao more of the time. However, Troy was one hell of a cheerleader:
Paulsen typically ran lot of guard heavy lineups last season and will most likely do the same this year to play to team’s strengths. That leaves little minutes up for a grabs in the front court, especially with some new rising players developing. And in 2018-19 it will be UVA transfer Jarred Reuter as the main guy in the middle. Temara seemed to have a ton of upside and is very athletic, it is a shame that we won’t get to see him develop but it might not have been a good fit for him.
