2018 guard Jason Douglas-Stanley commits to George Mason

Dave Paulsen picked up his second commitment of his 2018 recruiting class and added another player from Mount Vernon high school in New York. Jason Douglas-Stanley, a 6-2 guard who played with current Patriot Greg Calixte at Mount Vernon, committed to George Mason today. Former player Sherrod Wright also went to the same high school.

The staff missed out on local point guard Tre Wood earlier this month but seemed to find another skilled guard to develop in this class. Douglas-Stanley seems like another Jordan Miller type prospect who still have room to grow but is loaded with potential.

Douglas-Stanley is known for his three-point shooting and a couple of big time scoring nights during his junior year. His shooting range is impressive and will be a real asset for Mason as they will need talented shooting within the 2018 and 2019 recruiting classes to keep pace in the Atlantic 10.
