First look at EagleBank Arena’s new video board

Earlier this month George Mason announced that Eagle Bank Arena was finally getting center hung video boards. This has been an arena upgrade that fans have been desiring for over the last 10 years or so. And now all the sudden it looks like we will have it for the home opener vs Lafayette. Its about time. I can remember the first overhead video scoreboard I ever saw: the old TeleScreen at the old Capital Centre, in 1973. That video scoreboard was nothing more than a “movie projection” of the play on the floor and this required a very dark arena (Remember the heavy “black-out curtains” at every exit onto the concourse?) This is very impressive, and frankly, long over-due! Kudos to Brad Edwards and the current Mason Admiistration!
